"Spring awakening" in a room setting

I'm so used to real Russian winter with lots of snow that this snowless New England winter (not counting the last record-breaking February) makes me feel a little blue. It's the end of January and they promise 40F in a couple of days! Honestly, tulips got confused and started sprouting in my garden. Is it a sign of spring awakening?
Talking about first signs of spring, last year I painted "Spring awakening" depicting change of the seasons in the Public Garden in Boston. Here is an example of the painting in a room setting.

Here is a closeup of the painting.

"Thinking of you" in a room setting

There are so many different interior styles where my watercolor painting "Thinking of you" would fit in. Here is an example of a room setting with the artwork on the wall. The interior and the painting incorporate the color Rose Quartz, the color of the year by Pantone.

Here is the closeup of the painting which is available for purchase.

Happy New Year! Happy New Projects!

Happy New Year!!!

Looking back at my painting progress in 2015, I realized that I was too much into detail than I wanted to be. Maybe it is not a bad thing at all, but my goal is slightly different now; and I'm determined to paint more expressively.
I had practiced painting in abstract expressionism manner before and it was a completely different experience because it was more challenging, heart-opening and soul-burning.
Here are some examples of my paintings in abstract expressionism:
"Polar Nocturne" (acrylic on canvas; quadriptych; approximately 25"x20")
"Allure" (acrylic on canvas; 36"x48") sold

There is so much emotion and so many changes going through my life. I feel desire for expressiveness in painting, I want to further develop my style and to enhance my art skills so I could better reflect the state of my soul in painting. So I decided to make 2016 the year of expressionism in my art.
